On a 1989 evening in Brisbane, founders Emmanuel Kokoris and Emmanuel Drivas cruised Brisbane in search of an excellent coffee, but came up empty handed. Inspired by a gap in the market, they formulated a plan to take the world by storm – to create more than just somewhere for people to meet for coffee.
The Challenge:
Account transfers in a dynamic franchise network
The Coffee Club is a fast moving franchise made up of over 400 stores across 13 countries that runs a hybrid model of corporate and franchised stores. They’re often buying and selling these locations in short time frames, and keeping energy accounts up to date is a pain to stay on top of. This used to look like:
- Having a backlog of invoices issued to corporate that they need to chase the franchisee up for.
- Coordinating with the retailer and franchisee to update details on 7 locations and 14 accounts (across electricity and gas) and novate contracts.
- Doing the same in reverse for franchise to corporate transfers.
- Dozens of corporate bills a month all from different retailers across electricity and gas which made admin a nightmare.
